Is content published online automatically public content?

The Internet, as a technology and as a business, is re-evaluating its position as a delivery method for free content. As more and more studies prove that traditional Internet advertising doesn't work, fewer and fewer business are investing in it. Business models that rely on advertising revenue will slowly find themselves unprofitable as the move away from banner ads and popup boxes increases.

In business, when one business model dies, another is soon found to take its place. Internet Business will soon find themselves returning to that which is most valuable on the web: content.
