Does getting a good day's sleep count?
6/21/2000 5:15:04 PM
phosphor burning bright
eyes not yet used to reading
douse the edisons!
6/21/2000 5:29:14 PM
Newsflash: The Invisibles get no sex. Sorry Andy.
6/21/2000 5:33:50 PM
Goddamnit, I should be writing my salacious Legion of Super-Heroes article for Sequential Tart. After all, I'm heading off to see the second "Sex and Car Crashes" movie around six thirty -- doesn't leave me a lot of time.
Yes, this is me trying to pretend that I actually have a life.
6/21/2000 5:40:23 PM
Well, screw it. I want a coffee and a couple of smokes before the movie, maybe a bagel, too. I'll come back and blog later.
6/21/2000 5:51:32 PM
Also, mmm. Angelina Jolie.
6/21/2000 5:53:03 PM
Hah. Read your survivalist literature. It will do you no good.
So I see this movie, right? And on the way back to Erica's house (Backseat Driver Dory in tow) we get lost. The sky is flashing, and I'm thinking it's way too regular to be, you know, lightning. I'm thinking we're so lost we've ended up near Morristown and the airport, which has search lights. Well, okay.
I drop them off and I'm gonna come here and blog some, then meet them at either Denville Dairy or Starbucks, depending on which is still open...and I head down I-80 back to my hometown. Well, about a mile outside town, a monsoon hits -- no visibility, traffic slows and stops. There's a massive accident just beyond my exit and - aagh - I can't get there! But people are driving on the shoulder to get to the exit, so there I go. So here I am.
So anyway, I used to work at Starbucks and I got free coffee. The drummer worked at Manhattan Bagels and got scads of free bagels. The lead guitarist -- he worked at the hardware store, and got FREE SCREWS! Now, that there, that's a fucking -deal-.
Wow! Right on, they just called from Starbucks -- they're heading for the Parsippany Friday's (
3835 Route 46
Parsippany, NJ 07054
(973) 299-8319
) and I'm gonna meet 'em there. You really wanna rush, call 'em and page for me. Haha. You know my name.
6/21/2000 10:48:59 PM
Dude, Neale, where the hell are you anyway?
6/21/2000 10:49:38 PM
Also, Internook, any self respecting megalomaniac could tell you it's either "bwahahahaha" or "muahahahaha". There is no "mu hahahaha". Jeez.
6/21/2000 10:51:02 PM
Actually, egad, if I win I have to play again.
Mike, good luck. I'm going to Friday's.

Hmmm... isn't this Wednesday?
6/21/2000 5:41:02 AM
I was ready to get a good night of sleep and blog the bejesus out of you.
6/21/2000 5:42:27 AM
I guess I'll make up my own topic. Hmmm.... lemme see?
6/21/2000 5:43:43 AM
How about, "My Anti-Blogging Manifesto".
6/21/2000 5:45:13 AM
Oh, this is like the mensa thingy. The topic is "?". Which roughly translates to "Wha the...?" This really means "Why?" Why do anything, let alone this? So we are to prove the essence of being through blogging. Wow. This is going to be tough. We all know that blogging is shameless self-promotion from people who have difficulty making flesh and blood friends. I'll give it a shot.
6/21/2000 5:48:57 AM
Well, the gods must be crazy. Coke is what life is all about. Every poor child would glady snarf a booklet of momma's food stamps to trade for an icy cold coke.
6/21/2000 5:54:47 AM
Retarded folks will not find the meaning of life at Burger King. Honestly.
6/21/2000 5:55:42 AM
Some guy in a trailer has it all figured out. I'm not sure if this is a Pabst inspired poem or what...
6/21/2000 5:57:12 AM
Sometimes the simple things seem so important in the queer little fling we call life. Forest for the trees, man. Forest for the trees.
6/21/2000 8:09:40 AM
Same guy, on the road of life
6/21/2000 8:10:36 AM
The search is the answer. That is the irony that makes us go on and on and on. I remember a philosophy professor in college saying, "The answer is, that there is no answer."
Paradox!
6/21/2000 8:16:31 AM
Ha ha. Robot Girl must have powered down her drycells for the evening. Every robot is an island, you know.
6/21/2000 8:20:23 AM
So, why? Why, when all things move toward their end? Even that Internet thingy I keep hearing so much aobut.
6/21/2000 8:55:40 AM
Is this thing on?
6/21/2000 5:39:16 PM
What a lackluster affair this turned out to be. Why, Neale sabotaged my sabotage!
6/21/2000 9:49:21 PM
This was a true test, Neale-ster. I am going to go finish "Sea Wolf", by Jack London. Recommended. I encourage you to vote for RobotGirl. I feel pretty confident that I will still win. Mu ha ha ha ha ha (maniacal laughter).
